Intelitek's E-Learning Suite

What are the hottest trends in e-learning right now?

When e-learning became a buzzword around the year 2000, many people in the educational sector expected (or feared) it would replace traditional instructor-led classroom learning. However the market soon understood that the most effective learning occurs in a blended form, in which a combination of methods and media are used to reach and train students – traditional, instructor-led classrooms, synchronous and asynchronous online learning, mentoring, on-the-job learning and more.

How is Intelitek embracing the blended learning approach?

LearnMate offers a classic example of blended learning. LearnMate LMS, our powerful learning management system, allows instructors to track and manage student learning both in and out of the classroom. LearnMate Live provides virtual classroom technology, enabling live instruction to students in both remote and near locations.  LearnMate Content modules are rich in advanced animations, simulations and interactivity that provide "virtual hands-on" occupational training and skill development – anytime, anywhere. The modules also support practical training on highly technical pre-engineering and manufacturing systems in laboratory settings.

To be truly effective, technology training must provide hands-on experiences. While most technology instructors will agree that web-based learning is “nice-to-have”, they will insist that the hands-on element in technical training simply cannot be ignored or acquired without the use of actual hardware. At Intelitek, we advocate the principle that you “can’t learn to swim without jumping in the pool.” We believe the ideal training model, particularly for technical training, employs online learning for information transfer and procedural skill training, and utilizes classroom learning for face-to-face discussions, highly technical applications, practical training and collaborative projects.

How will LearnMate affect learning in traditional technology labs?

Intelitek has always recognized the importance of instructional materials and management tools in our technology training systems. Curriculum allows instructors to maximize the use of their lab equipment, and ensures that students gained the most from that equipment. Intelitek's early multimedia tools gave students more “live” experiences – allowing them to see, rather than just read about, the operation of a CNC machine, for example. Lab management tools saved instructors time in the class – by automating grading, scheduling and tracking, thereby allowing instructors to be better learning facilitators.

The LearnMate suite brings our tech labs to a whole new level, where students can gain valuable experience before ever stepping into the lab, thereby decreasing the time required in the lab, and increasing their knowledge acquisition and retention.

The term blended learning describes a solution that combines several different delivery methods, such as collaboration software, Web-based courses, electronic performance support system (EPSS), and knowledge management practices.
Blended learning also describes learning that mixes various event-based activities, including face-to-face classrooms, live e-learning, and self-paced learning.

Working in Partnership

Seminar on FMS, CIM and E-Learning, in Hong Kong

Intelitek and State Alliance Enterprise, our representative in the Philippines, conducted a seminar in August 2003 on the use of FMS and CIM systems and e-learning in advanced mechatronics training. The event was graciously hosted at the facilities of our representative in Hong Kong, Leeport Machine Tool Co.

The seminar was attended by senior faculty members from five universities in the Philippines. The seminar included working demonstrations of two Intelitek training systems: a mobile modular MicroCIM system (MMMC) installed at Leeport and an FMS system installed at the Hong Kong Educational Center.

The seminar was led by Intelitek's Mr. Maor Hemmo, International Marketing Manager, and Mr. Omri Koppel, CIM Engineer and Training Instructor.

Outstanding Sales Achievement - 2003

Mrazelektronik, our agent in the Republic of Croatia (also serving Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Macedonia), produced outstanding sales in 2003. Mrazelektronik was a leading supplier of IT and technology systems to schools and higher education in Yugoslavia and as such has been successful in placing Intelitek robots in Croatia. This year's success is the result of accumulated efforts and initiatives over the past few years.

The company is headed by its founder, Milun Vulicevic (pictured here with David Zeldin and mascot), and employs 8 people.

Honorable Mention for Outstanding Sales Achievement goes to Amaxotechniki, our agent in Greece.
