eXpertMill VMC-0600 for training and industrial
prototyping |

The eXpertMill VMC-0600 gives educational customers significantly higher performance at a substantially lower price than other machines in its class. The eXpertMill offers features usually found only on full-scale machining centers: full three-axis tool path verification, standard EIA RS-274-D G&M code programming, 1 hp spindle power, and 2540 mm/min (100 ipm) rapid traverse and machine cutting rate make the eXpertMill the ultimate machine for CNC training and prototyping. The machine’s cast aluminum base and profile linear guide ways provide the rigidity, speed and accuracy of larger industrial machines. Optional features include a 4- and 12-position automatic tool changers, 5080 mm/min (200 ipm) high performance controller, and a 4th axis rotary positioner. For more information, click here. |

Customers who are familiar with the RoboCell software package will appreciate Intelitek’s new CNCMotion software. CNCMotion integrates interactive 3D simulation with CNCBase programming and control software. CNCMotion dynamically simulates the entire machining process – accurately reflecting the movement of machine components and tools, and the form of raw materials changing into finished parts. CNCMotion reflects the behavior of machines in real-world conditions, including axis limits, impact, automatic and emergency stops. The interactive graphic setup enables customization of machines, including tooling and fixtures. All definitions are verified during the setup to ensure compatibility with the actual hardware and physical environment. With students able to write, edit and debug programs using the simulated models, lab equipment can be used exclusively – and more efficiently – for actual machining tasks. For more information, click

OpenCIM Version 4.0 Released |
OpenCIM 4.0 is designed to give greater training opportunities for students of industrial management, operations research, management sciences and related fields. It features enhanced optimization functions and performance analysis. The enhanced CIM Optimization utility allows users to select machine queue algorithms and define their weight according to various parameters. It also includes open source that lets users add new queue algorithms. The Performance Analysis utility allows users to observe the effect of the different algorithm combinations on the system's overall performance. The graphic simulation in OpenCIM 4.0 now includes accurate models of spectraLIGHT 0200 CNC milling machine, spectraLIGHT 0400 CNC turning machine and the CNC benchtop router. OpenCIM 4.0 also enables the integration of the SCORBOT-ER 4u robot and ASRS systems controlled by Controller-USB. For more information, click here. |
